delaware opts for hybrid, multi-purpose meeting rooms

Delaware is an international organization that offers advanced ICT solutions and services. The service provider attaches great importance to the well-being of its employees and therefore considers it important to offer them a hybrid working environment. Besides their headquarters in Kortrijk, delaware also has branches in Antwerp, Wavre, Liège, Lummen and Ghent.

The most recent, Ghent office is located in the iconic "Blue Towers", just next to the Ghelamco arena. The office is modernly furnished, with project rooms, quiet rooms, video conferencing possibilities and ergonomic workplaces. The 2nd floor also recently became part of the delaware group. Hybrid, multifunctional meeting rooms were chosen here, which are made available to employees for both internal and external meetings/events.

Word from the client Philippe Tollenaere
- Manager and team supervisor of the IT service desk at delaware -

"Virtual interaction has become indispensable for us. That is why we have chosen to equip the 2nd floor with various, hybrid meeting rooms. This will not only improve internal collaborations, it will also increase our interactivity. Because of these extra rooms we can now have 25 meeting rooms at the same time in our Ghent office. The contact with Play AV has been very good, from présales contact, during installation and still now the people of Play AV think constructively to find the best solution to meet our needs."

The large meeting room

This room is a multifunctional meeting room. Because of the mobile walls, the room can be divided into 3 different meeting rooms.

Each room has two 75 inch Samsung displays. In this way, the presentation and the participants of the far end are split up over the 2 displays. In addition, each room is equipped with a PTZ camera and an MXA-910.

When the entire room serves as a meeting room, there were a number of challenges to overcome. The guest speaker must be audible on both the left and right side and this without the hindrance of a handheld microphone or headset. This is right up the alley for the Shure MXA910 array microphone. This was mounted in the ceiling and can be directed very precisely to the speaker(s). This gives a clean and flexible result at the same time. No more hassle with cables and devices lying around on the table. At the same time, the speakers can move freely through the room and there is still an excellent recording of the audio.

By cleverly switching the speakers (also built into the ceiling) in the rooms, everyone is perfectly audible in the entire space. Person A, standing at the front left, can be heard without any problem by person B, sitting at the back right. The Shure MXA910 mics and the MXN5W-C speakers provide seamless sound support!

Working hybrid? No problem at all. The entire audio and camera system is linked to the Zoom/teams. After consultation with the customer, the programming was fully customized and according to the customer's wishes. This makes the installation smooth and intuitive to operate.

The small meeting room

The smaller meeting rooms were also subject to audio-visual integration. All meeting rooms are equipped with a 55 inch Samsung Display in combination with a Poly Studio. In contrast to the zoom rooms, the use of a proprietary device as a VC codec is used here.
